Huacaya Alpacas Sold

Velvet is a lovely blend of her sire and dam. She has fine fleece with a great hand and long staple. She has good bone and good capacity. Velvet will be ready to breed this spring. She comes with a breeding to any Blazing Star Ranch or Lazy Daze Ranch herdsire, except, of course, her dad, Archangel.

Honeysuckle is 6 years old and a maiden. She is a large girl who will make a wonderful foundation female. She has great staple, coming from her dad, Tupelo Honey. Honeysuckle was the first cria born to me and came out big and strong. Her mom is an easy birther and has plenty of milk. I expect no less from Honeysuckle.

Peaches is just the cutest little girl. She is a light fawn out of a medium brown (maroon) and a medium rose gray! Her dam is out of a dk gray dam and fawn sire. The yarn from her yearling fleece has a lovely, soft hand. I took her for a walk yesterday (4/11/2016). Sweet girl, leads easily on halter.

Loreal is a beautiful girl with great conformation, crimp and uniformity of staple. She has delivered 5 beautiful crias and comes with a breeding to any of our herdsires. Her 2012 cria, EOn Makulu's Cover Girl is a stunner. She took Best Bred and Owned at the 2013 ABR Fall Fest. 2013 Brought a gorgeous white boy, BSRA Tuscan's Iceman. He took a 4th at the 2014 GWAS in a tough white juvie class. Her first cria, EON Overdrive took a second and a Reserve Color Champion at the 2010 NM State Fair and her 2nd boy EON Bobby Brown took a 4th at the 2011 GWAS. So far she is batting 1000 on ribbon winning cria.She has it all! In 2015 she delivered a beautiful bay black daughter by Archangel of FRA. Loreal is paternal half sister to .38 Special and full sister to EON Max Factor. I wouldn't let her go, except that I am keeping her daughter, Cover Girl. Loreal comes with a breeding to any wholly owned BSRA herdsire. We would suggest Patron.

What else can you say except that she is an ATV Adonnis daughter and a Royal Peruvian Avanti graddaughter on her dam's side?! She has beautiful brown fleece and, I believe, has the capacity to produce gray. Her sire, Adonnis, is rose gray and her dam produced a rose gray this year when bred to Snowmass Enlightenment, another rose gray. We expect great things from this little girl. She took a blue at Fall Fest. The judge commented on her retained fineness. Rose, an ATV Adonnis daughter, had a gorgeous brown male cria by .38's Balvenie, a .38 Special son. He was born May 25, 2017 just before a storm came in, so he is BSRA Storm Chaser. This is a pairing of 2 of the best ever gray bloodlines. His fleece is amazing!

Valencia, a large, well-proportioned dark rose gray female, always catches the eye of visitors to the farm. Her sire, Snowmass Enlightenment, stands in the top echelon of gray herdsires today. Her dam, Vixen is an excellent mother with lots of milk, who ends to produce strong, healthy babies who grow quickly! It is a hard decision to let her go, but I have her dam, half-sister, and half-brother. I will be using Patron (who is the spitting image of his sire, Enlightenment) as a herdsire, and as a small farm, I have to keep my genetics diverse. Her fleece is a beautiful medium silver gray with some brown and light silver spots in it--a hand-spinner's dream. Her first cria is a beautiful dark silver gray (almost black!) daughter sired by TCB Z'Ranger.

In 2011,Buttercup had a beautiful white female cria. Buttercup's an easy birther with lots of milk. She has great uniformity in her fleece,which she passes on to her cria. Her cria, Honeysuckle, always had a milk moustache after nursing. She weighed in at 18.8 lbs. I got to witness the birth and it was absolutely trouble free. Buttercup's dam is a huacaya out of 2 suris. This brings nice brightness to the table. Buttercup has now had 3 boys and 2 girls. Buttercup's son, Larkspur, is a herdsire at Lazy Daze Ranch and a ribbon winner. His full sister , Gingersnap, is at Pine Manor Ranch. Her '09 cria is Blazing Star of LDR. All of these alpaca are exceptionally healthy, with good bites and wonderful conformation. Buttercup had a beautiful little white boy on Oct. 3, 2012. His name is BSRA Jefferson! She delivered a beautiful lt brown or dk fawn (we'll see after she's good and dry) female cria 7/14/2014. I've never seen such a strong little girl--on her feet in 5 minutes! I am refocusing my breeding to concentrate on my gray and dark colored alpacas, so I am letting go all but 2 of my white girls. I also board them, so must reduce my numbers. Buttercup will be an asset to any herd. A proven trouble-free birther with plenty of milk, she will be a great addition to any herd. These types of moms are particularly important to new breeders!

Clara boasts a wonderfully dense fleece with soft hand, even at 12 years of age. Clara has a little color in her background, so I bred her to the wonderful Aladdin of KPR. She had a little boy 7/25/2012! He is medium brown with white socks on his front legs. She's a very sweet girl, always coming up to greet us. A farm favorite! Clara had a light fawn boy in 2014 by TCB Z'Ranger, a Zephyrus son. You may breed her, but she has small cria and they tend to be 110-120 lbs as adults, so I have not bred her since her 2014 cria. She makes a good auntie!

Hermione is a lovely little dark brown female from a dark fawn dam and a silver gray sire. She has the best substance of bone I have seen on any of my crias. Her fiber is a little higher micron than I would like, but bred to a fine boy, I think she will be an asset to most herds. She is priced accordingly because I board and need to move some animals before next years crias are born. She comes with a breeding to our 7x champion, Patron, or any of our other wholly owned herdsires.

Star Dust is a little rock star! She is mellow and just takes everything in stride. Along with a fine, bright, soft handling fleece, she has solid bone. Her genetics are packed with Patagonia's Vinson Massif (Lennox) and Snowmass Nova on her sire's side and Snowmass Enlightenment (XXXtreme) and Snowmass Peruvian Casanova on her dam's side.

Jefferson is a bright white crimpy boy. He has a very sweet disposition and would be a great boy for 4H or Performance. He''ll also be a good fiber boy. I was just out with him today (2/18/15) and he is such a love. We tried taking selfies (which he stood very still for) but my arms aren't long enough! Gelded.

Swayze is a great little guy. Super confirmation, nice fleece. Quite the little studmuffin! He is a full Peruvian classic medium silver gray. I am letting him go at this price because I simply have too many boys.

Iceman is a beautiful bright white son of Sunny Mesa's Tuscan Gold. He is a genetic powerhouse with Augusto, Brock, Hemingway, and Victor (just to name a few) in his pedigree. He has a gentle personality and will make a wonderful addition to your herd. He should be ready to breed this summer. Snowmass Enlightenment's Veritas (he goes by Taz on the farm) is a light brown boy with small white spots--so an appaloosa. One of the most curious alpacas on the farm, he always comes to see what's going on. He has a very soft, fine fleece. From two gray parents, it will be interesting to see what he will produce. I'm keeping his half brother, so am offering him for sale.

Santana is a lovely medium fawn boy with about as good a pedigree as you can get. On his sire's side you get Maple Brook Barnabus as a grandsire, along with Augusto, Hemingway, and Pachacuti genetics. On his dam's side you have Victor's Hemiaccoyo Casanova as a grandsire, with Peruvian Victor (of course!), Hemingway, Show Me the Money and Royal Fawn added in. Santana is a fleece machine. I can't believe how much he's grown out just since shearing. He is in the top 1% of EPD's for staple length in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He has a wonderful disposition and is easy to handle. He's proven with a beautiful fawn girl on the ground. She is the strongest cria we have had--literally on her feet at 5 minutes old! I will retain 5 breedings to him. I would not be selling him, but I keep my herd under 30 and we have a lot of cria coming next year.

Fraser is a gorgeous medium brown boy. A maternal half brother to Patron, he is a looker. Excellent bone. Great conformation. Fine Fleece. We are awaiting his histogram. He is a very sweet boy and well grown for his age. Get him now before we show him and you can take him into the ring!

BSRA Spit Fire is a rock solid little male. Excellent substance of bone. Increidible brightness and fineness.. He has been shown in Bred and Owned because he has 1 medium fawn spot right where the shoulder meets the leg on his left side. Power packed genetics and a very sweet disposition.

Genotype: Eea1a3 Classic Gray BSRA Wild Thang is a robust conformationally correct boy. Zipper crimp, long staple. Just what you'd look for in a Junior Herdsire! He has great bone and a good disposition. He would be an amazing addition for a fiber farm!

Socrates (Socks) is a beautiful little boy--one of the cutest on the ranch. He is medium brown with front white knee socks. He has wonderfully fine fleece with a soft, buttery hand. He is too small for my breeding program, but will be a lovely fiber boy or 4H boy. Gelded.

Gladiator hit the ground running and never looked back. He has loads of fleece and staple and is a sweet, sweet boy. His dam, Diamond is less than 20 microns at age 5 and his sire, Tuscan, is noted for retained finess, as well. Can't wait to watch him mature!

Charlie, (Charlemagne) is just plain cute. It doesn't hurt that he has the brightest, densest, silkiest fleece! His mom is retaining her fineness, as is his sire, so I expect Charlie to do so, as well. I will reserve 5 breedings to Charlie.

Stormy's grandsires are gray alpaca royalty. Aussie .38 Special is his paternal grandsire and ATV Adonnis is his maternal grandsire! The rest of his pedigree is pretty awesome, too, with PPervian Victor G4563, Show Me the Money, Hannaruh, Mr. Roosevelt, and Royal Peruvian Avanti, just to name a few. This fellow would make a great addition to your herd.

Gunner has a very gentle disposition with superb hand. He will make a herdsire for someone wanting to grow their fiber herd, bringing excellent fineness. He would also be a great 4H boy.

Serape is a beautiful, fine rose gray male. If you have some denser, coarser girls, be they gray or solid color (no white), he's your guy. He brings finest, brightness and staple length to the party.

Genotype: EEa3a3 Classic Gray Checkmate is a gorgeous medium silver gray boy. He has his sire's presence. I'm looking forward to watching him grow! (The light silver line down his back is due to a shear burn. He didn't have that before shearing.)

What can I say about Cover Girl. She lives up to her name. From the moment I saw her, I knew she was special. She's a large girl. Judge Helen Humphreys said she has "good substance, good capacity". She has a very fine fleece and great hand. One of my favorites! Cover Girl is bred to Semper Fi di Bella Vita for a 2019 cria! She is bred to BSRA Snowmass Enlightenment's Patron for a fall 2017 cria! This should be a special one! Cover Girl was bred to Mile High Peruvian Carlton Ritz and had a gorgeous boy in September of 2015. He took a blue in dark juvie Bred and Owned at the 2016 GWAS. We're not sure of his color. he looks dk fawn, but there is gray in there--so time will tell.

BSRA Blade Runner's Requiem is a gorgeous appaloosa boy. His fleece is bright, buttery, crimpy and long! He is proudly co-owned with Cass and Old Dog Galloway of Big Hat Alpaca Ranch. He is a very sweet, mellow boy. Blade has several cria on the ground. One of his daughter's, Tweed, just took Reserve Color Champ in Fleece at TXOLAN 2023! Reserve a Breeding now! We just learned that Blade is the 2024 Futurity Reserve Herdsire of the Year!! I don't know if a multi has ever done that before.

Genotype: EEa2a3 Napoleon is a gorgeous medium brown boy. His yearling fleece is a rich reddish brown. Cute as a button, he would be a steal for a breeder wanting to add fineness and brightness. He would also work well as a 4-H or fiber boy. I just have too many males to keep him!

Speedy is a beautiful light rose gray male. His genetics are powerpacked. With Sonic Shift as his sire and Patron as his grandsire, he should be a good one! I did not show him as a juvie, as he got rickets. Vitamin D therapy worked! He is cute as he can be and very curious! Speedy just showed at the 2025 NWSS. He was placed 5th because of a little curvature in his back due to the above mentioned rickets. The judge said that will probably improve as he grows. She commented on his great staple length, lovely soft handle and brightness.
